Don't memorise answers. For each question, read what the interviewer is looking for, then practise answering out loud in your own words with a real example. The notes describe strong answers and common red flags — they are for your prep, not a script.
Content Planning

Social Media Analytics
2 questionsWhich social metrics actually matter, and which are vanity?
IntermediateWhat the interviewer is looking for: Strong candidates value engagement quality, saves/shares, reach to target audience, and conversions over raw likes and follower counts. Reporting only followers and likes is a red flag.
How do you tie social activity back to business results, not just engagement?

Copywriting
1 questionHow do you write social copy that stops the scroll?

Community Management
1 questionA follower posts an angry complaint publicly. How do you respond?
IntermediateWhat the interviewer is looking for: Strong answers respond promptly and empathetically, take it to DMs to resolve, and never get defensive publicly. Deleting valid complaints or arguing publicly are red flags.
Crisis Communication
1 questionA post is being misread and starting to go negative. How do you handle it?
AdvancedWhat the interviewer is looking for: Look for pausing, assessing, responding transparently, and escalating internally per a plan. Panicking, going silent, or doubling down are red flags.
Trend Awareness
1 questionHow do you stay on top of trends and decide which are worth jumping on?
BasicWhat the interviewer is looking for: Strong candidates move fast but filter trends for brand fit and audience relevance. Jumping on every trend regardless of fit is a red flag.
Short-Form Video
1 questionHow do you approach short-form video, which now dominates reach?
IntermediateWhat the interviewer is looking for: Look for hooking in the first seconds, native editing, and consistent output, tied to goals. Repurposing long horizontal video with no adaptation is a red flag.
Meta Ads
1 questionHow do you decide when to boost a post or run Meta Ads versus rely on organic?
IntermediateWhat the interviewer is looking for: Strong answers use paid to amplify proven content and reach targeted audiences with clear objectives. Boosting randomly with no goal is a red flag.
Time Management
1 questionHow do you keep a consistent posting cadence across platforms without burning out?

Creativity
1 questionHow do you balance on-brand consistency with creative experimentation?

Canva
1 questionHow do you use Canva or similar to keep a consistent visual identity at speed?

Behavioural & role-general

IntermediateWhat the interviewer is looking for: Look for good judgement, brand guidelines, and knowing when to check before posting. Reckless posting or being so cautious the brand feels lifeless are both red flags.
